	So the real question is whether the idea of "selling meat" as a metaphor for porn is appropriate for a band called the New Pornographers who actually make happy poppy indie rock.

	The whole "fits the band vs. doesn't fit the band" argument is somewhat arbitrary and tends to get leveled against posters that someone simply doesn't like. Just like the "you do posters in your style not the band's style" argument. This poster obviously takes its direction from the bands name. As do most NP posters. Its a fun name to play with.
