I remember someone pointing out that I didn't have enough 'e's in fifteenth. so i added an extra one into the seps at the last minute. Of course i overlooked the 'th' which was brought to my attention after it was printed.
Thanks for the compliments. Thanks even more for the complaints. Criticism is certainly not the norm here. There is a lot to gain from Criticism and I would like to encourage it. I constantly critique my own work, the majority of the time all I can see are the flaws. I am only happy with a handful of my posters. I certainly don't feel I have it all figured out. I appreciate Radar's comment, that's the kind of shit that helps you grow and go in a new direction. Raindog's comments sound a little bit more like pencil envy, but they are greatly appreciated none the less. I would love to create a poster with nothing more then an appropriated image and some placed fonts, but at this point in my career I can't do that, it always ends up like this. Whenever I create a poster I have to put it all in, for better or for worse. Finally I would like to say that I enjoy doing the design and type treatments as much as I like the drawing bits. And while it often takes a back seat, I still consider the utilitarian aspect of the poster. So I find comments implying that my work is only art or illustration a bit off-putting. There are tons of great artists on this site, more then just a few. And I'd be the first to say my work can't hold up Sal's bold claims.
