thanks guys, this turned better then I expected. we experimented by using only 2 colors due to a time crunch. red with process cyan on top. it made the 3rd color, the dark red/brown quite nicely

Thanks for the compliments. Thanks even more for the complaints. Criticism is certainly not the norm here. There is a lot to gain from Criticism and I would like to encourage it. I constantly critique my own work, the majority of the time all I can see are the flaws. I am only happy with a handful of my posters. I certainly don't feel I have it all figured out. I appreciate Radar's comment, that's the kind of shit that helps you grow and go in a new direction. Raindog's comments sound a little bit more like pencil envy, but they are greatly appreciated none the less. I would love to create a poster with nothing more then an appropriated image and some placed fonts, but at this point in my career I can't do that, it always ends up like this. Whenever I create a poster I have to put it all in, for better or for worse. Finally I would like to say that I enjoy doing the design and type treatments as much as I like the drawing bits. And while it often takes a back seat, I still consider the utilitarian aspect of the poster. So I find comments implying that my work is only art or illustration a bit off-putting. There are tons of great artists on this site, more then just a few. And I'd be the first to say my work can't hold up Sal's bold claims.

Wow, Thanks guys. This is a 3 color; neon green, forest and red. The secondary colors are made up of overlaping inks and halftones.

can't quite tell what's going on here, but this is sweet. Kinda a filmore treatment with much fresher lettering.
