I have this classicism against P. Galore that could never shake, I kinda have a white trash background and many/most/all of them were rich kids. Not right, but it's there, I can't get over it. Feels like they were slumming. Always thought they were were REALLY overrated musically.
You won't find a bigger proponent of "stoned "music than me, and there are exceptions to the rule (Cypress Hill), but most of the best "stoned music" includes no overt drug references at all; i.e. Krautrock, '60s jazz, etc. I'm mainly thinking of Northeast rich-kid college music, neo-hippies, the dreaded white funk, and the like.
