agh. to me, sometimes the whole "it's attention getting" thing just ceases to be a believable sort of yardstick to measure a poster by. often a poster "stands out" compared to others not because it's super-better, but just because it's in color and everything around it is a photocopy, or maybe it's on a bigger piece of paper or something. placed next to "typical" gigposters, this poster would indeed stand out. placed next to universally-agreed upon awesome gig posters, a Times-New Roman-on-white-paper-Mazda-pickup-for-sale-flyer would grab my attention.
i'm not 100% sure what i'm getting at. just trying to kill the last half hour of work.
