I came this close {} to using the firebird logo on a Nashville Pussy poster last week but then I trashed the whole project.

As for this... eesh. stay away from the photosjop filters.

Art, the fact that you did so much so quickly with so little thought is why I admore your stuff. People spend their entire lives trying to do something 'good' and never succeed.

Your logo is the best [art of this poster.

I actually thought about the legibility issue some more and I think I'm starting to agree with Chloe. It's made for a select group of people. I'm part of that group and it really doesn't do anything for me but I realized last night that I'm guilty of the same thing.

About 8 years ago I did a tour poster for Storm&Stress that was simply varnish on white paper. Touch&Go hated it, record stores hated it - everyone but the band and the fans hated it. They loved it. We made tshirts that were white ink on white shirts. The kids loved them.

I think that same thing kinda applies to Seripop stuff. You either get it, which means you think it's genius, or you don't, which means their smug, exclusionary and/or elitist.

Regardless, I don't think anyone will lose any sleep over it.

Groovie Ghoulies Poster - Knitting Factory, New York City - Shad Land

I like everything except the fact that the Knitting Factory is at a different angle.

The Ghoulies always have pretty decent work done for them. I always ike their 7" artwork.
