Before I got into silk screens...all of my work was offset...I was able to use as many colors as I wanted and really get more depth and detail...now with silk screens I have made my art work, having in mind the separations, the cost per color, etc...this has simplified my look at times, but also gotten me to find new and exciting ways of making it work...
So I still do both...I agree that silk screened posters are more highly regarded by collectors and I can understand why...
When I do a printed piece for the Fillmore for example, I get to design without constraints I would have with my screens...
I have no problem with either way.
I think this poster is cool...lots of details, nice illustration and colors...nice job.
