Makes sense yaknow cause screenprinting isn't as hard to do as "any etching, lithograph, woodcut, print or similar work not being a photograph."

I did better than break windows. I first got her to write it in a letter, on government stationery.

Once I had that, I wrote her back, quoted the dictionary definition of 'printing', and then invited her to meet me in front of a judge and explain how the province of British Columbia had arbitrarily changed the definition of printing in order to unfairly tax a group of printers.

I got a retraction of their position and the tax investigators were called off and the assessments dropped.

Of course, that was only a lawyer and the government. To change the attitudes of the art establishment, well, I'd rather drink beer and tell them to suck it and shove their 'rules' up their collective asses, and go on with my life.

This is a great topic for debate. If you haven't listened to the AID podcast with Mitch and Rob, you should. They address the licensing they secure for all the Mondo posters. They are very legit about what they're doing. Can't say the same for some others.
