I'm getting excited to be back in Austin. Will be helping Ken with his booth, etc.

My daughter Peije turns 15 on March 1. She doesn't get excited about ANYTHING, but she's already said several times that she can't wait for Flatstock. That's pretty damn cool. She's excited to have a house full of Brits all week that talk funny.

She's named off several names asking if they'll be here this year. Of course Tara is always at the top of her list.

Paul Imagine, Gregg Gordon, Maddie Vastagh, the We Three guys (not sure if they're coming) and others...you were all mentioned, so you should know you will be sorely missed this year.

After a week of my beagle stealing and chewing on everything they own, they'll probably never come back.

I will be back and am really looking forward to it. My usual housing option just fell through, so I might be begging one of you for some floor space...

    HOUSING:
Dudes - I just called the Holiday Inn Express that is about 4 minutes from our house. They still have rooms available for March 12-17th. I have often rec'd this place to people for SXSW because it is closer than the airport hotels and the ones in North Austin. It is on highway 290, which is basically South Lamar, so it is not difficult to get to the convention center by cab at all.
    One King: $209/ night
    2 Queens $219/ night

they said they definitely have at least 10 rooms left as long as people call in the next few days...

I'll make a point of talking twice as funny as a birthday present, then. If anything just to compensate for Pobiak actually being one of 'you people'.

Also, Chris from We Three Club is coming over, yup.

Never been to Austin before, but just booked my flight. Definitely excited to be in attendance. I'll be counting on you guys for guidance as to what not to miss while I'm there.

Yo Austin peeps... my favorite Marin band Monophonics is playing at SxSw.... Thursday, March 14 80PM - 8:40PM at Meduse Lounge on Congress. Very good sould/groove band.
