Default CD & Vinyl Specs

Can someone please give me the standard sizes in inches for a CD Cover and a Vinyl Album. I plan to add an 1/8 inch bleed to whatever dimensions are standard.

I am setting up some artwork for both.

The CD Cover would be an insert into a jewel case.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure the CD is 4.75 x 4.75 with bleed would be 5 x 5 inch.

Just need someone to clarify that...

And I guess vinyl depends on where you are printing it?
Maybe not a standard size?

Any help is appreciated....

the problem with vinyl sleeves (i recently discovered) is that diff. places are set up for different card thicknesses and stuff, which affects the spine width. at least i assume that's the reason. i set up a layout on one random template before the client had settled on a printer, then when i dragged it into the right template later, i had to jiggle stuff 'round.

* not a lot, mind you... but there isn't a lot of room for error on a record spine. they tiny.

i don't know CD offhand... i'd just grab the discmaker templates. lots of smaller duplicators swipe their templates, too.

Yeah that was my plan...but after all of this, I think I should wait until the band gets me the places they plan to print them at...they wanted the artwork set up now, but they didn't have the place yet. I just told them to wait until they know, and I will set it up.

I didn't know sizes could vary for similar items.

Thanks for the help.
