2008 NHL Playoff Thread
Here we go.

East picks:
Montreal over the Bruins in 4. Clean sweep. it's gonna be brutal. Pens over the sens in 5. Ottowa fell aprt the last half. They are going to get steam rolled. Flyers over the Caps in 6. Ovi and Huet alone won't be enough. Rnagers over the Devils in 7. Marty isn't enough. The Devils will have to score and Lundquist will be more than able to deal with that Devil's offens. West Picks: Detroit over Nashville in 5 or 6. Depends on what kind of goaltending the Wings get. Sharks over the Flames in 5 games. The Sharks are rolling. if Kipper plays well he could steal a game or two. Minnesota over the Lanch in 7 games. Tough series. Anaheim over Dallas in 6.

i agree with pretty much all of that, but think the caps will extend the series and win.
i really like the way montreal is playing. they're fun to watch. damn, i feel like a little kid. i can't wait!

All sounds good. Devils have no offense
Caps will win. I hope Ottawa wins, but I have been hoping for over 10 years, they are my second team. GO WINGS !!!!!

Habs over Bruins in 5. Pens over Ottawa in 6. Caps over Philly in 7. Rangers over Devils in 6. West: Wings over Nashville in 6 or 7. I'm gonna go with a long shot and say Flames over the Sharks in 7. Avalanche over the Wild in 6. Ducks over Stars in 5 or 6.

Yeah, I don't usually do that either.. I find the west a little harder to make any kinda prediction on for some reason... even though I think any team in the East really has a shot - at least in the first round. Maybe not Boston so much, but still tight.
Wild / Avs - easily either way... Same with Ducks / Stars... and in my opinion Sharks / Flames. That'll be an awesome, hard-hitting, physical series.
