    Default New Here!

    Hey everybody!
I'm a 17 year old illustrator from Australia. I found the gig posters book down here, and so I found this.
I'm trying to break into the industry of gig posters and any advice would be awesome.
I don't totally know where to start or anything, I'm just making work, fake posters and the like. I don't have a full portfolio ready yet, but I will soon.
Here's some of what I got:
Also, if I'm not doing this forum thing right, I apologize!

These are all gig posters, except the last one. But I've started a couple more proper gig ones.
Also more work here: ryan mcshane

foro posters, go with that drawing style for a bit. the cityscapes will look lovely with your sense of color behind them. good luck, nice stuff...think about your text more so that it doesn't distract from your ability to render

Find a local band you love, offer your services. Sky is the limit from there...well, minus that bands have no money..THAT will limit things too. Great illustrations, what medium/program?

Nice stuff for sure! You've got a great sense of color.
