oh, yeah. he dodged the draft in ww2 by getting a doctor to diagnose him with an enlarged heart - which comes from being in too good af shape.

his real name was marion morrison. he was actually the very first cowboy to sing on screen - the first 'singing cowboy'. he iked to have fistfights, smoked like a chimney, died of lung cancer, and was rumored to be be gay. an american hero!
