wow, thank you! i appreciate you taking the time to make an sincerely thoughtful comment, it means alot.
i put alot of effort into my art and it makes it very satisfiying when i know that someone is getting it, beyond the superficial. thanks again jemaine
Tara-
Your stuff is really nice. Every artist Ive ever seen seems to anchor their image in one area...and many of the regularly good artists anchor the 'aesthetic'/spiritual/'cool'(whatever) weight in the same places repeatedly.
There is so much 'weight' in the 'eyes' of your characters. They almost seem 'ancient', almost godlike. I sound lost here for a phrase, cause I am.
Im really impressed with the power in those eyes!
we'd love to. we just recorded and have some 7"s on the way, and we're planning to tour very soon. p.m. me the kilby court info. that would be rad to play there!
(hey justin, hook it up with the fakes for our seattle show!)
tara, i didn't SEE radio vago play, but I was back in my studio madly printing, so I could HEAR it-- sounded great... i dunno if I want to submit my poster for that show, it seems pretty mediocre now.
but hey, the new detectives should come and play Kilby Court sometime...
leia, my band is called the new detectives. that show was sooooo much fun to play!!!!
did you get to see radio vago when they played up there? i hope you did. are you going to post the one you did?
muchas gracias!
this show is tonight too, i can't wait.
for l.a. this is a real good line up so i know it will be alot of fun. radio vago got voted best punk band in the la weekly this year, you should check them out.
(more posters on the way too! they're so much fun to make, and it's a nice break from painting)
