art chantrySend art chantry a message :   can't forget to credit hank trotter on this thing. we traded off on the design, but hank wrote all the hilarious text. hank is the best writer of pure bonehead i've ever known. brilliantly lame.   2002-08-05 10:47:24
Nolen StralsSend Nolen Strals a message :   i love this poster... had it for like 2 or 3 years now and still come back to stare at it again and again... making all that stupid amount of text actually work! and of course fotheringham's great little spots all over   2002-08-05 10:44:10

jsheehanSend jsheehan a message :   Ed rocks! Wish I had a client to use him on. He is numero uno. And if you use him, don't tell him what to do, cuz he'll come back with better stuff then you could ever dream. Demented and worth hiring at any cost.   2002-08-04 19:10:34
art chantrySend art chantry a message :   sorry this is such a lousy repro.
ed's one of the funniest wits i've ever known. a real crackup. back when he lived with mudhoney (and sang in a band called 'the thrown ups') he would always get so drunk (he's an aussie) that he'd fall off a cliff or something. after awhile everybody had this term called 'pulling an ed', which meant exactly what you'd think: getting plastered and doing something stupid.
ed is one of the most powerful illustrators i've ever worked with. you can give him the lousiest concept to work with, and he'll come back 24 hours later with an illustration that's so goddam brialliant that it makes you look like a genius for hiring him in the first place.
ed's some sort of twisted genius.
family man, now. sad, but true.

El Negro Magnifico!Send El Negro Magnifico! a message :   I believe Ed Fotheringham did some illustrations on this one. What's he like to work with, Art? He's one of my faves.   2002-08-04 16:44:43
