it doesn't devalue your opinion silly, but it gives the audience a point of reference. anyone can be a critic, but if you yourself make posters (or movies or whatever) and you want to say "this sucks," you have to be prepared for your own work to be evaluated, and the weight of your opinion would be based on that.
