Blatant Photoshop Abuse.
The design police demand that you uninstall Photoshop from your computer at once or you will be levied an $8 dollar fine.
Photoshop is not a toy, kids.
Well, I agree that this conversation is relentless but in fairness I'll respond, as it is me that Fylar took issue with...
You're right-- there is a bunch of ripping on here. Read around, it gets addressed. I made a pretty simple statement and you got pretty pissed. Maybe you oughta question why. Im not changing my opinion and I sure aint sorry.
As for calling me a hypocrite, well thats not cool either. Fuck off.

most seasoned designers here follow these rules, not only to protect themselves, but also to respect the original creator. you could have easily redrawn the cards, and made them your own eh.
now as far as composition of this poster is concerning, may i suggest a little reading on typography, and ill let you know that the world of graphic design doesnt begin and end with photoshop.
just some helpful suggestions, and thought i would let you know that there is a big difference between appropriating images RESPONSIBLY, and outright swiping.
nah, you're right. i was just testing you. the tarots were done like in 1902 by Pamela Colman Smith. i thought you were saying "ripped off" like they were new or recent cards. i agree w/ your points on design, though.
Who got ripped off was the person who illustrated all the tarot cards. They are the entire message. Otherwise all you have is some desktop publishing calling itself design. Its one thing to lift, to collage, to recontextualize, etc. This is hack ripping.
The illustrator did some cool work, though, whenever it was done. The tower and the swords illos are crazy cool folksy. And on the off-chance that the work is legit, my apologies.
