BLT- It all went cool, dude.
Wally- I almost didnt go last nite...but ended up going late, just to check it out.
Dude, the artwork on the stage was amazing. That backdrop with the trinity-like head, negative space creating heads and embryos...then the one with the collective consciousness of 'eyes'...Very sweet.
Dude, Patton from TOMAHAWK came out and jammed with them on TRIAD. Very sweet.
okay, so here's my question : what kinda job was this? Is it commissioned directly by the band, or was this just the next thing on your "to do" list and you felt like being adventurous? this is like your 3rd or 4th piece for Tool, so they must be pushing you a bit...
i totally see them using this design for merch...
Not much point in adding to this praisefest now, but I'd decided Jermaine werent my thang until I saw this jaw-dropper. Pretty goddamned flawless; the metal printng is just a snazzy bonus. Too bad I dont got the dosh to cough up on this cuz its gooone.
I got one of these pups sitting in my studio right now. The picture does not do it justice at all. It's too cool, Jermaine is the man. He's pushing the boundries and has a never ending thirst for exploration of the medium. Keep an eye on him as he will always be questing for the next level. 100% satisfaction= complacency. He can't get no, no no, ...satisfaction!
No...real sheets of metal. BLT printed this one for me...he knew I wanted it on metal, so he screenprinted it on metal, using a special ink. Its 20 inches x 20 in. and weighs about a pound and a half.
Signed and numbered ed. of 100
I think they might go kinda fast.
" theres a small connection to the teddy bear story...and its RIGHT IN FRONT of you when you look at this poster. And no, it aint the '72'..."
Is it the pussy? Because teddy bears are for pussies...
Yep. 20 x 20 inches printed on a sheet of metal...Brian Taylor is a printing master, by the way.
The imagery is laced with hidding meanings...familiar numbers..symbols...yea..
ACTUALLY, theres a small connection to the teddy bear story...and its RIGHT IN FRONT of you when you look at this poster. And no, it aint the '72'...
Bald dude coming through a "vagina", simple colour pallet, only two fonts, no stretchy. Is this some deep message about the re-birth of Jermaine? And printed on metal? What are the dims? Fess up son. All three questions. This is very very nice BTW
Nice one, Jermaine! I'll admit, seeing this as a squashed thumbnail in the new arrivals frame made this look kinda...*ahem*..."vaginal". My mind needs wiping.
