I hate the aftermarket. it's abusive. I ALWAYS meant these things to be as inexpensive retail as possible. I left Artrock coz of their predatory practices. they would release a catalog with one price, then the minute a poster started selling well they would start jacking up the price.

works great... the artist gets money, the customer gets the poster and the monolithic company gets diddly! on the other hand, i walked into a tattoo shop in Ybor and they've got the Boss Hog in a glass case! I go the guy, "Is this for sale?" and he goes, "Yeah, for 300 bucks." I felt like saying, "Listen, bud, Kozik made large print runs just to undercut mercenary fucks like you." But I didn't. Dude was large and looked mean...

i got a great deal: five bucks. it's in "slightly used" condition. i could tell the sales chick didn't know much about poster art & stuff. but her partner was saying, "Yeah, our posters go for five bucks but this is a kozik." I held my breath and they went for it. Cool!
