Art, I did actually get really good exposure and got my name out there. Frank hooked me up with his lawyer that won in court against Artrock to do my contract
with them. When I sent them a fair contract, they ran for the shadows hissing like it was a garlic covered cross and that was the end of my stint Artrock. Their contract was ridiculous, laughable. |

Kozik's not the only one with a story of parting on bad terms with Artrock. They left a wake of pissed off artists including myself, Forbes, Sutton, Coop and droves of others. Can you imagine the poster empire they could have had if they had just treated their artists right? It's insane. They're insane. Life goes on, thank god for independence. |

Cardoso, there is a poster from around 1995 with the same image for Tilt in SF which sold Kozik posters at the time. This was after Frank left Art Rock very early 1995. This is the reason why the first 10-12 posters from 95 are more difficult to find then the later ones in 1995. Art Rock has been good at keeping Kozik posters away to (I think) raise prices. I am not sure what the current deal is with Kozik/ArtRock but I have this feeling that ArtRock is not allowed to sell any of the Kozik posters? Seems that Kozik and ArtRock had a blowout and parted their ways in not so nice terms. |

This was always a favorite of mine,it hangs in my studio right above my head as I type this. Took years for me to get my hands on one but worth the wait. Was there a variation to this Frank? I thought I saw this as an advetisment forh maybe gearhead or something? Wit slightly diffrent color variations. |

Aww, I see this one every time I go make noise with Gas Huffer's drummer and The Stranger art director, Joe Newton. Very appropriate image for this band. They are definitely the hard-working proles of garage rock. This looks like you actually drawed it up all special like what with the rapidograph crosshatching. |
