My buddy went to the show when I was in college, and he said at one point in the show some fucked up guy in a psych dragon suit came on stage and gave Tom a harmonica. Tom then said, "That's the psychadelic dragon, and this is the psychadelic harmonics, so I guess it's time for a psychadelic song." I can't remember what he said he played after that. The point is, the poster fits to me.

Petty was heavily influenced by the Byrds. The Byrds have a song called Mr. Spaceman as well as a lot of Psych posters. There's yer connection.
