Mr FrumpySend Mr Frumpy a message :   Wow its just struck me about this print... when I was in my teens, a fiend n I used to silkscreen onto glass this pic that a guy from a Local Motorcycle Club drew. The basic frame work for his pic was the same as this poster. Well the circle with the hemp leaves in em, although it had Motorcycles and skulls everywhere, with swastikas and cylcle emblems, BSA, Triumph etc... all british.it was a fucking incredible image to say the least. My brother has one of them, must try n get a photo of it. We did about 20 of em, and they sold real fast... fuck thatd be about 15 years ago!!! fuck Im old.   2003-02-04 17:53:51
Mr FrumpySend Mr Frumpy a message :   BTW,I have a recently recieved couple of harrys pieces, and I must say, his pink floyd is damn nice in person. " Lovingly Rendered" to use a chessy phrase.   2002-07-14 19:39:15
Mr FrumpySend Mr Frumpy a message :   This poster looks nice in person... Its here in Melbourne at the Hard Rock Cafe... They also have a Coop, an A/P no less..., n a few other guys stuff but NO koziks... I like Hard Rock Cafe.. alot of there memorobillia is record company shite that is presented to em as show pieces for promo. Also loads of shitty Ibanez guitars with the budget signature... with a couple of Genuine Items.. Melbourne has a Billy Idol Harley woooooo... and Sid Vicious Rubber Jacket ( Looks Leather) Johns Beatle suit and a madonna Pointy Bra... with a Nachos thats enuff for 2.....   2002-07-14 19:36:56

Steve HSend Steve H a message :   hey man, i know you don't know this but i've sold ONE robert johnson poster, and that was to the bass player in my brothers old band! seriously, i think its a bit unfair to try and say i'm cashing in, i put a lot of work into it, i totally admire robert johnson, its a tribute piece, i'm a fan. if i gave a percentage to his family it would probably get swallowed up in postage bills, one copy sold, think about it.   2002-07-14 13:51:02
Steve HSend Steve H a message :   well send us a tape so's i can check em out then let's go for it!   2002-07-14 13:46:13
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   Actually harry...Zepplin and Floyd - I could care less, they made theyre money...Robert Johnson on the other hand got screwed...I think its great you do a poster for him, just selling it - I think you should mention its repro...or partial money made goes to his estate, just that type of thing...and yes...I do think you do good work...don't think otherwise.   2002-07-14 13:45:21
seripopSend seripop a message :   do a poster for the scene creamers. awesome soul psych!   2002-07-14 13:44:28
Steve HSend Steve H a message :   Well, you can't please everyone i guess. Its like this, I'm more into bands like led zeppelin, the black crowes dont really do it for me; I enjoy drawing psychedelic posters for bands like pink floyd because i dig the music and the psych imagery, modern psych sucks. I want to see cool led zeppelin and pink floyd posters, don't you? don't worry about answering that. So thats why i do them, i put a lot of energy, time, love and respect into them and if you find it tasteless and tacky then so be it,if my posters were originals you'd be saying how great they were rather than how tasteless. Having said that,i'm working on a piece for a new band right now, the posters i have done so far is how my work has been seen up until this point,i'm still only on the first few steps of the ladder and there's no way i'm going to do a poster of blink 182 for a goddam portfolio piece!   2002-07-14 13:37:38
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   Harry I mean, sorry.   2002-07-14 13:27:37
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   See, new bands get posters done in the style you do...not just peeps that are dead. Go find some bands and knock em out with your art Henry!   2002-07-14 13:27:19
Steve HSend Steve H a message :   i've seen this before, a german guy who bought some posters from me actually sent me a couple of photos of them on his wall! and on one of them was this one, its a great piece of work but to me its let down by the black crowes lettering at the top, could've been a real beaut.   2002-07-14 13:07:01
