the Kill Rock Stars stuff has a nice, if not pretensious, air to it. It can say "I don't take myself or anything too seriously"... which sometimes also means "I take everything WAY too seriously. Regardless, I like the work.

and something is wrong with meaningless? obviously, the main meaning would be to relay information, since that's what a poster is supposed to do. but why does an image have to have "meaning" other than what it is? i had a video copy of the only interview basquiat ever did, by some jackass with an art history degree, who didn't know shit about art. he keeps asking basqiuat questions like, "what is that, what does that mean?". and basquiat would reply, " it's a flea", it means it's a flea". or in response to questions like "why did you draw a flea?", he responds "because i wanted to". not everything you do in life is going to have a meaning. so why does "art' have to?
