first of all, they demanded that everyone leave the store while they were doing soundcheck. "all you people need to leave" they refused to go on. so after taking forever, they start playing. the drummer's monitr goes out...so he freaks, and leaves the stage. he refuses to go and play. after his managers coax him back out after ten minutes he finally comes back and plays some more shitty 4/4 beats. they finish, ignore every fan, and done even care to thank or recognize the record store staff. theyre the quintessential talentless rock-jock star assholes with egoes as big as their ridiculous fanbase. im not trying to act like its so beneath me to make a poster for such a band, but honestly, why should i have any respect for some celebrities with no respect for other people in general?

I've only been producing silkscreens for three. My current Co. has only been around for a year this month. I never came on this site making stupid comments. I came to learn and folks like Judy, Kozik and even Richie, as caustic as he is, learned me proper. When Art Chantry was here he had a ton of smarts to hand over. You really had to ignore the banter to get it all but it was there. Tons of knowledge hanging out here daily learn to read through the delivery and see that even though folks are smartasses they know what they are talking about. It's real easy to be knee jerk reactionary but it's harder to re-read and learn and then reply.

Kings Of Leon's folks check GP out. They contacted us to do work but we were smack dab in the middle of that first Modest Mouse leg and had to turn them down. Beulah called me direct after spending 6 hours straight on here looking for someone to do posters for them. Wilco came to us through here because of a Spoon poster we did. We just got a call from a HUGE band because of GP. A band we'd never ever think would contact us. You're kidding yourself if you think people aren't looking. Foolish to talk shit on anything but Richie, Murphy and Dave here. And Kings of Leon are one of the more interesting new bands out there. At first pass their lyrics and singing style makes no sense at all. Far from straight forward standard rock in that sense. Some of you are gonna hafta learn a lot of hard lessons...

Theres a huge difference betweeen a band "sucking" and "not being your thing" It shows a tremendous lack of class to just arbitrarily say that someone sucks because they dont jibe to what ever your personal tastes are. Thats bullshit. I was coming on here to say that I liked this, but now I wonder if there was any thought put into this beside you wanthing to do THIS visual on SOME poster. Sorry, this is just my opinion but my biggest problem is with artists inflicting personal styles on artwork without regard to the band.
