I don't think the type is bad at all...and the red swirl starting at "Atomic Mint" and ending at "$8" is a nice touch.

I like the type--that device of alternating the bands with the other info works gangbusters--better than the usual treatment.

Yeah I agree about the type... to give him the benefit of the doubt, he had a chance to follow-thru and do a cool type design on the shield and must have gotten crunched for time.
