yes, it's been done before....yes, it IS very well done. I REALLY like it! A lot of excellent designers have built fine careers doing what's been done before, but doing it well counts for so much. If absolute originality were the benchmark for a "good" poster, I'd have a hard time finding very many good posters. (not picking on Dusty!) *steps down from soapbox and has another beer*

It's that DAMN Futura extra black. I was hesitant to use it in the first place! :D I'll be the first to admit that this isn't going to earn me a Golden Squeege or anything. But I think it got the job done. So I'm happy enough.

well, definitely not picking on denny, he has a nice body of work with some interesting stuff going on. But you know i could pick 5 or 6 posters that are pretty much this same exact thing with a different image behind it, with the blod, or red flood or whatever over top. Off the top of my head i can think of 2 Aesthetic Apparatus posters that use this same device. Not saying this is a bad poster at all but things very similar have been done. I think denny's body of work shows some interesting original layouts... this would not be one of them. Maybe played out was the wrong choice of words, didnt mean to come off so harsh, i should have elaborated when i posted. It was a long day.
