RobSend Rob a message :   heh...from a current auction for kozik's rev horton heat OG:
" Original B&W Artwork by Frank Kozik for the poster of The Reverend Horton Heat concert (sat 12 sept 1994 Chicago at Metro)28.5x29.5 cm black ink & collage on (the lettering on the right).I bought this piece in 1994 at ART ROCK in SF from Kevin Plamondon ,at that time partner of Mr.Cushy.Kozik was in the shop while I was dealing with Kevin & I had a little talk with him.He wasnt very friendly & I didnt liked him.I bought lot of stuff from the back of the shop, including the last copy available of the Pearl Jam Soundgargen Kozik poster(number 450 of 450,check it in the other items of my auction,is there)I used that girl image in my Pearl Jam Rome poster 2 years later.I wasnt inspired by him at all.I liked that girl expression .I founded a 60s mag with that image on for a soft porn movie ad.I steal the lettering?Thats old psych style, not his style, but it was part of the poster idea, just to provocate some talkin I use the lettering from a rare Kozik poster,so what?.I was inspired by the great Gary Grimshaw for the graphics & by Mr.Warhol for the concept(is a big Polaroid,"make it big,big is better.")Anyway now we are back to this one. Postage fed ex is included in the final price. Also a copy of the original poster will be included as a gift & why not an original handbill 4x4 of my Pearl Jam poster signed & dedicated to Kozik.Have a nice auction."

JermaineSend Jermaine a message :   O yea...its theft...technically speaking. He KNEW, Im sure that the image had been used by Kozik. Cause see that 'Pearl Jam' text? He stole THAT from a KOZIK poster too: RHCP/Smashing Pumpkins/PJ from 1991. He knew...   2005-03-03 08:40:12
PlantweedSend Plantweed a message :   I wouldn't go as far as to assume it's a theft, he coulda been ignorant of Kozik's poster and used the Inga image also. The film was a worldwide hit, the pressbook and poster are around.   2005-03-03 08:35:44
