No, I'm don't mean to piss on Firewater (well, the newest album totally lost me. 1st 2 excellent), but even while liking them, I sort of acknowledge that Todd sorta wears his influences on his sleeve. It's sort of like "this is my Tom Waits song...". i guess I just meant that Waco sound really...uh real. Just a big pile of influences that sound right. Anyway, Clash doing country. That's as fair as any other comparison I guess.

I like some of the Waco Bros. stuff. Sort of riding a line between like Pogues, Waits, Cave... Little bit of Billy Bragg? I dunno. Bad at the music comparison thing. Like sorta what the Cop Shoot Cop guy was aimimg for with Firewater, but alot better. Okay. Nevermind. But um, I like em.
