I think it is nice to see an old school style rock poster as POW. Beats all of the usual stuff Clay picks. I generaly don't like the POW. Nothing against Clay. It's his site zfter all.

I can see what piemel means, I personally think there's been better posters over the last week, but I don't get the second point piemel makes at all. Just because the guy has many different styles of poster this one shouldn't be POTW? In this day when everybody gets slated for churning out the same style of stuff over and again, surely it's better that Sam is trying out different stuff and pushing himself? If anything that's MORE of a reason for POTW. I like this poster a lot, reminds me a bit of Black Shuck, I just think there has been some better ones.

hmmm... i am not feeling this at all (with all due respect to the artist) The illo is great but this poser was done in 2004... this stuff has been done a hundred million times in 1995 by Kozik et all. The lay out and type handling, all done before. Second if I look at the gigposter portfolio page there is not one single red line through the posters... it has an example of a huge amount of different styles and not one of them show me what SJ's style / theme / concept is. Its all over the place. Poor choice for poster of the week
