UPDATE* ...i just read in the local weekly that 'common' ( the rap-star) is refering to himself as 'common sense' on national tv ( the dave chappel show ) even tho he agreed not to in an out-of-court settlement with the band. ...not sure what's gonna happen on a legal front ( and, outside morbid/sadistic curiosity, don't care ) but........ it actually seems like 'the band' is getting sckrewed over in this one. jmho.

I remember that's why he changed it, because there was an established band already called Common Sense. I'm pretty sure he volunteered to change it before it got to any legal situations.
