This is so damn good. Way to go. Wow. The illo is amazing.
By the way, you might be seeing something that looks kinda like it down the road. I swear we aren't stealing your idea. We've been working slowly on it for literally months.
I'm just bustin' yer balls... halftones are cool.
I just don't use 'em on screen printed posters so I can be sure they don't cause Andy any extra greef. I'm just not super fond of the way they look either. Lichtenstein (sp?) definatly knew how to use half tone dots.
Okay, okay, I get the point. :| Hence an opinion not an edict to the pantheons of poster Gods. I've already become the signiture quote for Micheal M. Motorcycle, so if I have not figured out the use of half tones by now, maybe I never will. Half tones are for newspapers, not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters. Have I paid my penance or do I need to find a larger pallete to express my poster misconceptions?
This poster is actually important for 2 reasons...
1) Reverend Horton Heat kicks more ass than a bus full of Ninjas!
2) It is dedicated to EMEK because it was his Rev Hor Heat poster that inspired me to get into the poster game in the first place... it had a bad ass guitar on it, so this is my way of saying Thanks to EMEK.
Actually along the bottom of the poster it says " This poster is dedicated to EMEK, Thanks for lighting the fire under my ass... It's all yer fault. "
p.s... pinoretread, half tones are for newspapers... NOT rock posters! :D
I have only heard them once, but they sem to be a band that would be apropriate to do more design heavy posters for. Reverend Horton Heat seems like a band that needs a rock poster full of vibrant colors.
Just my opinion, which means exactly jack and shit.
