adamturmanSend adamturman a message :   This is so damn good. Way to go. Wow. The illo is amazing.
By the way, you might be seeing something that looks kinda like it down the road. I swear we aren't stealing your idea. We've been working slowly on it for literally months.

artboySend artboy a message :   Pinoretread, I'm just bustin' yer balls... halftones are cool. I just don't use 'em on screen printed posters so I can be sure they don't cause Andy any extra greef. I'm just not super fond of the way they look either. Lichtenstein (sp?) definatly knew how to use half tone dots.   2004-04-26 13:51:36
TenebriniSend Tenebrini a message :   Oh, I'd like one of these by the way.   2004-04-26 08:43:31

Bastard!

Michael M. MotorcycleSend Michael M. Motorcycle a message :   I didn't see your comment. I think that halftones are fine if used properly. I was talking about picking on the dude about using halftones in rock posters.   2004-04-26 01:32:04
MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   I am not sure I was exactly kidding exactly. I think that this poster would suffer from halftoning the vibrant colors. It would lose it "rockness".
just my opinion.

Michael M. MotorcycleSend Michael M. Motorcycle a message :   We're just kidding with you dude. Just check out Firehouse's work. They make serious rock posters and use half tones all the time.   2004-04-26 01:26:28
MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   Halftones are o.k.. I use halftones all the time on my posters.   2004-04-26 01:23:52
pinoretreadSend pinoretread a message :   Okay, okay, I get the point. :| Hence an opinion not an edict to the pantheons of poster Gods. I've already become the signiture quote for Micheal M. Motorcycle, so if I have not figured out the use of half tones by now, maybe I never will. Half tones are for newspapers, not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters,Half tones are for newspapers not rock posters. Have I paid my penance or do I need to find a larger pallete to express my poster misconceptions?   2004-04-26 00:42:24
Beto RamirezSend Beto Ramirez a message :   Great Illustration. This poster rocks. Hello from Mexico. And Pinoretread, half tones are for newspapers... NOT rock posters!   2004-04-26 00:27:59

sweeteness strikes the pen of Mr. Tidwell, once again. Rejoice!!

needlesSend needles a message :   of course you are, even if you are only looking for half tones. i like hand drawn half tones. it shows complete insanity.   2004-04-25 18:38:55
pinoretreadSend pinoretread a message :   I am no one worth talking about at this point. But this piece definitely is. I'm still trying to get connections, to do this kind of goodness.   2004-04-25 18:32:06

pinoretreadSend pinoretread a message :   I considered myself served, I guess I'm just letting my preferences get in the way. I'll keep that in mind if anyone will let me do a poster for them.   2004-04-25 18:20:07

Michael M. MotorcycleSend Michael M. Motorcycle a message :   p.s... pinoretread, half tones are for newspapers... NOT rock posters! Know it Live it.   2004-04-25 16:14:00
needlesSend needles a message :   half tone? this guitar only plays whole tones. full of tude! i'm lovin the burning flag and the rad star paint job on the body of the les paul. you should paint guitars if you haven't already jeral.   2004-04-25 16:13:51
artboySend artboy a message :   Thanks guys... This poster is actually important for 2 reasons... 1) Reverend Horton Heat kicks more ass than a bus full of Ninjas! 2) It is dedicated to EMEK because it was his Rev Hor Heat poster that inspired me to get into the poster game in the first place... it had a bad ass guitar on it, so this is my way of saying Thanks to EMEK. Actually along the bottom of the poster it says " This poster is dedicated to EMEK, Thanks for lighting the fire under my ass... It's all yer fault. "
p.s... pinoretread, half tones are for newspapers... NOT rock posters! :D

Pat. James LongoSend Pat. James Longo a message :   This kick's ass. Simple idea done over the top but with a great outcome. Fantastic. The Eight Ball switch kills. Great poster.   2004-04-25 14:27:24
modrocket10Send modrocket10 a message :   I think you're right. Also the guitar used in this poster fits them.   2004-04-25 14:24:25
MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   I have only heard them once, but they sem to be a band that would be apropriate to do more design heavy posters for. Reverend Horton Heat seems like a band that needs a rock poster full of vibrant colors.
Just my opinion, which means exactly jack and shit.

modrocket10Send modrocket10 a message :   Maxflo loves him some Modest mouse!
Nice poster Jeral.
  2004-04-25 14:05:51
MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   This is a ROCK poster. Nothing better than vibrant colors for a rock poster. I wouldn't half tone anything on this.
Use half tones for a Modest Mouse poster or something.
  2004-04-25 14:02:38
pinoretreadSend pinoretread a message :   The illustration is definitely good, but perhaps halftoning some of the vibrant colors, so you have a foreground, background and middleground. It will help it pop a bit more. Great drawing however.   2004-04-25 13:59:58
King LeamonSend King Leamon a message :   hey, man, you just keep getting better. But do stop being a homo, and e-mail me back.   2004-04-25 03:54:36
