for reference on the man and woman drawing i used a shitty piece of clip art i found on Google -- originally the guy was offering his bride a rose. i never noticed that the woman's hand looks like it's going up her ass until someone pointed it out, now it's bugging me. -- the buildings in the background and the horse and carriage are modified engravings from a Dover book

thanks Thomas! i was kinda loathe to do such a literal interpretation, but then realized that resistance was either futile, pointless or stupid.. - that band name - I like how it turned out in the end though. My wife suggested hiding the knife BEHIND her back, but I think holding it up under his nose like that, as an offering, has more "moment of truth" sting
