nope..I am real good friends with this pervo fotografer called Eric Kroll and he is all buds with the Taschen guy and between the 2 of them they like own all this shit and they are cool with it. Plus, this was done like 8 years ago on 300 prints so what the fuck. last few years tho i have stopped using stuff unless I get permission which is usually pretty easy to do. All my Craig swipes where approved...etc.

frank - did you have any problems with this image? all this old fetish stuff is becoming protected again by the heirs of the artists estates and shit. a friend of mine got nailed on using a tom of finland image. they were very nice to him, but he stiil wound up paying a token usage fee.

I knoew Coop...its weird because he is an absolutley amazing illustrator. he just sits down and does it...no effort. perfectly.anywhere.In a restaurant...its crazy. Problem is tho he lives in a very small bubble and also, tells me he hates music and only does the posters for money. not a winning combo. but man can he cartoon....he should be a cartoonist,hook up with a good writer.

i think he's reached a point where he's copying himself, and his type is in desperate need of branching out, but i still have his Man Or Astroman print (mad scientists duking it out w/ radio-controlled robots) above my computer. he's not one of my faves by a longshot, but like a lot of 'artists', i think the trick w/ coop is getting past the boobs.
