the blood gets a LOT lighter colored somewhere between his neck and the wall. or is that just some rare pollock ive never seen hangin in the background. also - it's a good thing they put that padding around his head so he was nice and comfortable before they ripped away his torso.

Man the comments on this poster are gonna fill my weekend with laughter.
•Art, sorry I "quoted" you, just trying to let everyone else know what my statement was in reference to.
"B, it's better than the poster that it was supposedly copied from."
This poster is pretty nice, but DWITT's has the gritty feeling that the subject matter calls for. The type and flat colors make this one a little too "clean".
Or maybe that's just your thin slice of opinion and we'll all ignore you . . . well we won't ignore you, but we'll definitely ignore your opinion that's for certain.
Well, in my experiences with ritual decapitation, I like to thinly slice the neck around the bone, fillet style until I have enough lunchmeat for the week. So, consequently, the vertebrae tends to stick out a bit. :D
I really like this, it just struck me as being really close to something I did. I'm not pissed or anything.
Art did have a point about the vertabrae. Unless you meant the head to look torn off, in which case the skin and other muscle tissue would have to look REALLY ragged.
well its like this, i was in a rush to get these posters done so i did the first ideas that came to mind.if you look at many hardcore/metalcore bands site you may note that most of the imagery these bands use are all the same(blood splatz, knives, weapons, and butterflies) ill admit i am very inspired by the work that comes from this site.i come here on a daily basis but dont actively particpate besides submiting posters and a few comments here and there maybe if i was a litte more known in these parts it wouldnt be that much of a issue.plus these bands do give of that severved head vibe.or im a hack and just didn't relize it.im open for discusion on the subject, and i guess now im forced to be an acive part to this site
Its probably just me but the type used on the bands over the blood bugs me....i think its just the way its written and the conflict between reading it and the background...
this is so fake!! EVERYBODY knows that if you cut off somebody's head that you're NOT going to have two extra vertabrae hanging off the stump!! i mean, really!! you'd have to cut the head off and then cut off the flesh cleanly and tastfully and then peel it away and then bleach out the bones to do this. i cry bullshit!!!!!!!!
Birds. Bunnies. Bears. Arrows. Yeah, they're all common elements, and often used for the same band. The band gives a vibe, and we make something along that vibe, so perhaps I'm not the only one receiving the severed head vibe for this tour.
I'll shut up now.
Well, yeah. I can see that they're both severed heads. But like, if you both made posters with pretty girls giving "sexy eyes" or like, a 70's muscle car, I dunno if you'd be making these comments...
Do you know who this dude is? I just think it's a little unfriendly to be "thinking out loud" about your suspicions of this guy. Might be best to just like, talk to the guy.
Maybe he's a dirty stinky thief, or maybe he just had the same ideas. Like plain ol' coincidence. Decapitation and sawblades are not completely original themes in the land of rock and roll.
but,but,but.... okay.
Kinda weird that this is VERY similar to my poster, and his other new one is VERY similar to a Heads Of State shirt design.
Coincidence, possibly.... just sayin'....
Oooooh, this is bloody. Nicely done. The typography is cool, too. My only crit is the hair... far too neat for the contraption his head is in and the drama he's just suffered... but damn this is cool looking!
