jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   the shadow only bothers me because it narrows out in an unreal fashion...great illustation and I like the type work...opinions...keep doing what your doing. :)   2003-05-15 13:12:59
lil_tuffySend lil_tuffy a message :   well, the promoter for this show was just hyped in the local paper yesterday and the poster is on the front page of the site. the response was so huge that we're skipping the digital output and I'm going to screen it afterall.   2003-05-15 12:58:36
Brendan JordanSend Brendan Jordan a message :   OK, I'm re-evaluating my text crit, but I haven't decided yet. That being said, I really like the idea of the bracket divideing the illo, it makes a natuaral spot for text. Along these lines, I think the shadow gives that feature more depth.   2003-05-15 12:49:09
LeiaSend Leia a message :   p.s. that shadow rules   2003-05-15 12:45:16

lil_tuffySend lil_tuffy a message :   Thanks for the feedback. After 3 different versions, I was feeling kinda unsure but the deadline loomed. I decided to return to this style for this promoter: http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=11072
It's funny reading the clean text vs. hand drawn comments. If you look at my last poster, it was just the opposite - clean illo and hand drawn text. I hadn't intended that but whatever.

Michael M. MotorcycleSend Michael M. Motorcycle a message :   I love this. What great color combos.   2003-05-14 11:49:01
PlantweedSend Plantweed a message :   Actually in this case I think the computer text works better than hand-rendered, contrasts well with the rough-looking image. Well done all around.   2003-05-14 09:25:46
TenebriniSend Tenebrini a message :   Nice work! I like the background and text elements and their smooth lines vs. the scratchy lines of the figure. That with the green in the gator to tie them together. I imagine it being quite legible in person.   2003-05-14 09:02:01
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   I think the text is perfect...its the drop shadow I could have done without.   2003-05-14 07:30:45
GrzecaSend Grzeca a message :   I like the drawing .   2003-05-14 06:20:36
JoltedJoelSend JoltedJoel a message :   I think this is sweet.   2003-05-14 03:50:12
DWITTSend DWITT a message :   or at least easier to read if it were a darker green.   2003-05-14 02:02:43
Brendan JordanSend Brendan Jordan a message :   I like the colors and the illo, but (and I know I'm the last person who should say this) the text would have looked cooler hand-rendered.   2003-05-14 02:02:01
