Dirk FowlerSend Dirk Fowler a message :   Closer to H.N. Werkman. Dutch printer and Dadaist, 1920s.   2004-01-14 23:07:09
lil_tuffySend lil_tuffy a message :   Carson was the last thing that came to mind. But the color palette and the 'weathering' letter-press effect are techniques that he used quite effectively.   2004-01-14 22:43:24
irreverendSend irreverend a message :   really, ok. maybe carson was a great ripoff artist?   2004-01-14 22:19:02

stinkbaitSend stinkbait a message :   Sad story about Meredith. Her partner at Roto killed herself a while back. Meridth is still doing stuff but not sure how much poster work. I think she told me they only printed 15 or 20 of these. It's beautiful indeed...   2003-04-20 23:27:15

AnnacasSend Annacas a message :   i was staring at this poster.it is so beutiful, different, looks independent.. donno why.. i really like it   2002-05-15 03:53:30
PediniSend Pedini a message :   Yes, this is bona fide letterpress. I have another one of her pieces for Knife. Funny thing though, I had the same studio do my wedding invites, and there were two spot illustrations I had hand-cut from linoleum thinking that they would just poistion them with the text. But they actually scanned my linocuts, and then made these new versions of them with a harder substance that is affixed to a thin metal plate! Weird is the new world.
I've also known purist letterpress operaters who would not have done this. It is such a beautiful, dying art form.

Nolen StralsSend Nolen Strals a message :   I'm pretty sure this is letterpress...the Knife In The Water stuff I've seen in person is letterpressed, and the designer's name next to this is really familiar, I think a friend of mine ordered a sample pack from her coz he was looking to get some business cards letterpressed...though I could be wrong, I could swear it's all the same person.   2002-02-08 06:06:43
Darren GrealishSend Darren Grealish a message :   Notice how Speed is stayin outta this one? D   2002-02-08 04:06:01
Darren GrealishSend Darren Grealish a message :   Perfect example of a graphic designer jumping in and doing a poster. Ooooops, sorry I forgot, no rules in poster art. Sorry....just drunk. D   2002-02-07 22:21:51
