Carson was the last thing that came to mind. But the color palette and the 'weathering' letter-press effect are techniques that he used quite effectively. |

Sad story about Meredith. Her partner at Roto killed herself a while back. Meridth is still doing stuff but not sure how much poster work. I think she told me they only printed 15 or 20 of these. It's beautiful indeed... |

Yes, this is bona fide letterpress. I have another one of her pieces for Knife. Funny thing though, I had the same studio do my wedding invites, and there were two spot illustrations I had hand-cut from linoleum thinking that they would just poistion them with the text. But they actually scanned my linocuts, and then made these new versions of them with a harder substance that is affixed to a thin metal plate! Weird is the new world.
I've also known purist letterpress operaters who would not have done this. It is such a beautiful, dying art form. |

I'm pretty sure this is letterpress...the Knife In The Water stuff I've seen in person is letterpressed, and the designer's name next to this is really familiar, I think a friend of mine ordered a sample pack from her coz he was looking to get some business cards letterpressed...though I could be wrong, I could swear it's all the same person. |
