I like this a lot. Looks like it's just been casually slapped together, as if the pieces have just fallen there randomly. But makes so much visual impact. Dig.
i like the power of it. i like the confusion of the imagery ( i felt i was patching the holes in her face, but everybody else finds it violent mysogeny). i like the color contrasts. i like the found art (with the hole already cut out). i like the bands involved (who absolutely loved this thing). i like the overall centraized design and the experince of having it come together in my hands at the time (it flowed nicely). i like it on quite a few levels both designe and personal.
The "artist" seems to have neglected the beauty of the female form. Perhaps he is sexually frustrated...perhaps he is homosexual...nonetheless, this critic finds himself looking through old comic books for artistic satisfaction...a flacid poster..
Eye can't decide if I like this one or not????? it looks like someone stuck some stickers on an old gurlfriends pic but couldn't bring themselves to hide that one eye...hhhuuuummmmm, what are they gonna cover that eye wit... :o
I have always admired this poster. A favorite of mine, wish i could get my hands on a copy. it's just plain good design, gets your attention and it's great for 7 year bitch, kind of ruins this pretty gal image which they seemed to be all about. More the music woman can make and less of an image kind of thing. I miss them.
at one point ashleigh gave me all of her old worn-out clip art books for my colection. there were all of these pictures of faces with chunks that had been cut out for her work. they were really intriguing. i felt compelled to fix them...
