art chantrySend art chantry a message :   this poster was done by greg just to try to get in the door with the walkabouts (who were sort of 'folk rock' sounding). i think he wanted to be involved as a 'friend of the band' more than anything. 'art' was just his way of getting in. i think the band were just being nice to him and he was a weirdo hassling them - which was the ususal scenario. nothing came of it.
anyway, i'm certain that this is the only thing he ever did that had anything to do with the walkabouts. he was always hustling me at the rocket and as an associate of sub pop. i imagine he took this to subpop and wanted to do covers. i can only imagine bruce's reaction if he did...
i wonder what he's doing now?
(you could possible read that last question as a drug refernce. heh)

PlantweedSend Plantweed a message :   Thx for posting these Art. Who was this dude? Where is he now? I like how Sub Pop tried to cover all the bases with their bands, they marketed The Walkabouts to appeal to deadheads, Tad to metalheads, etc.   2003-08-25 13:06:20
