these spooky voodoo promotions posters didn't command a whole lot of respect around seattle - nobody ever bothered to find out who did them, so far as i know. they ripped famous illustrators (WAY famous), slopped on some level 101 computer type and wallpapered the city with them. when spooky voodoo went under, this 'artist' disappeared. but for awhile, this person dominated the seattle poster thaing.
also: basil wolverton was from vancouver, washington. he was a pentacostal minister who moonlighted as the 'cartoonist too weird for mad magazine" (no kidding. too weird for mad, even!)
