I had a nice Coelacanth sandwich with algae tartar for lunch the other day. With steamed kashi and and a fern salad on the side. Mmmm, ancient yumminess.
It's the Magic City. Can't remeber how to get there though since I quit the psychedelics (but i still wind up there from time to time).
Anyway, the idea is just ancient meets futuristic.
fantastic noel. can't wait to see this in person.
and i think they perhaps used the same batch of silver that i used to screen 550 record covers. that silver was a fucking nightmare, and yes, the secret ingredient definitely was acetone, cheers to peveto for figuring that one out . . .
"These are the only 3 shows I know of. The good Cap'n hasn't played a show with them in 20 or so years. Too busy being a painter I guess."
,,,and busy battling M.S., sadly. :(
noel…this one is a really nice design for a screen printed poster, or any poster printing medium…but very easy to get the ball rolling on the printing tip. the more i look at it the more i like it…really nice job man. silver ink can be a bit of hassle but ya gotta know the secret ingredient…acetone. you should post the split fountain if you have one. once again…nice one.
Pedini: These are the only 3 shows I know of. The good Cap'n hasn't played a show with them in 20 or so years. Too busy being a painter I guess.
Grzeca: You got it right on the silver ink. I really like the gold you used on that Black Emperor poster of yours and that exerted some influence on me... Satch and Al broke their backs pulling a bunch of these--for which I am eternally grateful--and they came out really nice!
I saw proofs of this one in Satch's studio yesterday. So, what's the deal, is the Magic band only playing the three shows? I was told they were gonna do a substantial tour. Of course, without the Captain they are a skeleton crew...
