copierSend copier a message :   So this image is a clever pun on the name of the band and it gets congrats all around, but Derek Hess gets slagged for the same thing around here. Hmmmm.   2003-03-31 12:48:36
brian kroekerSend brian kroeker a message :   this is a great interpretation of the bands name. if not for sash's post, i would've said "oooohhhh, so that's where they got the name!".   2003-03-31 12:46:16
rockologistSend rockologist a message :   the funny thing about this(to me, anyway) is that i know a lot of people who used to refer to austin as the 'velvet coffin'.   2003-03-31 12:40:28
GrzecaSend Grzeca a message :   This is one of my favorites since it was added to the gigposter archive. I love that this is the featured poster- totally inspiring.   2003-03-30 19:30:32
KJSend KJ a message :   there are so many amazing new posters on the site that i immediately regretted putting this up as poster of the week. it caught my eye on the random poster a few days earlier... i thought it looked really modern. when you look at jim's other posters they look very 60's, whereas this one i found interesting because it seemed very current. also, i think i'm missing austin texas.   2003-03-30 16:37:43

Brendan JordanSend Brendan Jordan a message :   I love the poster, I love the band, but when was this show?
From the thumbnail it looks like an art decco chair that you would buy at ikea.

SashSend Sash a message :   "The Velvet Underground" was originally a book on the urban S&M scene. came out in the 50s or 60s.   2003-02-04 17:12:00
godisoldSend godisold a message :   really interesting. . .okay this might be a stupid question, is this the true meaning of Velvet Underground or....is it just some words put together   2003-02-04 15:18:06
