When I was a kid growing up in Madison, My Grandmas house was only 3 blocks from Vilas Park. My little sister and I would walk over there all the time and watch the monkeys. Ah the memories. |

WOW! I think I have heard of this guy. There were rumors that he had left the country, but it turns out he is the midwest. Someone even said that he is setting up shops all over the country, and never sleeps; starting something. Apparently there is a Seminole influenced Jazz Poster that he did that got a lot of press back in 2000. |

i like it, but i think there are a few too many things going on here. the colors, image and hand-drawn type work well, but the "date" type block, halftone circles and anonymous logo seem out of place.
i think the info would have worked better if it had also been done by hand, and i'm sure that anonymous logo had to be there. yes?
i guess the radiatiating halftone circles represent soundwaves, but i don't think it works (on a whole) with everything else that is going on.
but, i do like it. ok, i'll shut up now. |

I do on the other hand think that Brian Ewing deserves poster ARTIST of the week. He had like 5 amazing posters this week. All good enough for P.O.W. status. |

Seriously? I don't like the lettering... or the 3-D effect. Don't really care for the color scheme either, the white on light blue makes for no contrast. I do like the mic on chicken body illustration, and the overall positioning and design is nice. But poster of the week? |
