RockinSend Rockin a message :   This was never an Original poster from the Anarchy tour, but made up years later to sell to kids & collectors alike...   2011-09-08 13:06:43

ricv64Send ricv64 a message :   supposedly there's a poster for the SPOTS , sex pistols on tour secretly.   2009-08-01 10:00:19
soupsandwichSend soupsandwich a message :   I remember buying one of these in like 1985? It was a repro back then. I used to be the buyer at an indie comic/record store from a place that sold huge silk screened posters...I'm pretty sure that's also where I got this.   2009-07-31 21:38:00
storySend story a message :   Well, Art, I'm a collector, and my understanding was that this was actually done for the show. Unfortunately, as you probably DO know the Pistols only played about three or four of the shows on this tour before the rest were cancelled. This was 1976. Johnny Thunders was passing his American heroin habit on to England's R&R elite, and the Pistols were causing a stir of their own. So due to the chaos and commotion, this show was cancelled with the rest. However there are a lot of these out there. It must've been the only one of the shows on this jaunt that was promoted via posters. Don't know any more than that. Evidently the Clash were not happy about having the opening slot.   2009-07-31 13:38:54

altieriSend altieri a message :   This poster is from 1976, but the gig was canceled because of the Grundy show appearance. At least it has been documented from that time.   2009-07-31 13:32:57
art chantrySend art chantry a message :   this is a "commemorative" poster, right?   2009-07-31 13:16:24
