I once worked a summer installing irrigation systems. I have ingrained shovel skills. The fish guts were frozen. The fishery gave them to us that way. smart.
I thought it was supposed to be about a mommy tomato telling her little tomato to hurry... and when you say, "little tomato, KETCHUP!" you stomp on the ground.
It's the stomp that makes it funny.
But you can't stomp on the internets.
never mind.
one of the things I did this year to increase the production of my tomatoes was digging up the beds they were going to be planted in about 2+ feet down and burying about 100 pounds of fish guts. The plants growing in that bed are growing retardedly well.
My romas are doing okay.
I've got super fantastic, golden girl, cherry, big boy, champion (the first I've bene able to eat this year), and several volunteers which have grown up nicely.
a couple plants are getting the blight though. Not happy about that, but I should get some fruit from them first.
As a tomato lover and Melvins fan I endorse this poster.
What varieties you got going on this year DWITT?
I've got Black Krim (always a fave), Cherokee Purple, Brandywine, Constulto Genovese, and Italian Giant.
Cutworms got my Romas unfortunately.
the little yellow tomato flowers are my favorite detail.
Thanks all.
This pic is also displaying a lousy cropping job by myself. The image is centered on the paper with at least an inch border all the way around. oops.
Ick, I don't like raw tomatoes either.
However, I love them in salsa, pizza, spaghetti, stuff like that.
I didn't say it before, but the colors on this are awesome Dave, love that detail on everything especially the leaves.
I don't understand how you can hate tomatoes. They are the entire reason i got into gardening. A fresh tomato sandwich in the summer is a treasure.
I had to do two coats of the red ink on this green paper to make it really pop. It was worth the effort.
